Eco Conscious

The House Label is a uniform brand with a purpose. Our mission is to be an agent of change in the uniform industry by providing our clients with the opportunity to purchase high quality sustainable products. By thinking sustainably with our designs and manufacturing processes, we’re working on developing practices to better serve our customers while caring for the environment. Currently, the garment industry is the third most polluting industry - three out of four garments produced end up in landfills, and in the uniform industry most standard garments are highly disposable. We hope to change that.

What sets us apart from other companies is that we’re more focused on encouraging small yet significant changes. We understand that going completely green can be quite overwhelming which is why we’re here to help you one step at a time. We’re offering our clients the opportunity to implement any combination of the following practices into their uniform programs in order to reduce their environmental impact:

  • SHIPPING: We can ship out orders in a manner that minimizes impact on the environment through practices such as ocean shipping to save on carbon emissions, using packaging made from recycled materials, and reducing plastic packaging used to fulfill an order.
  • RECYCLING: We’ve developed recycling programs for our clients to create a circular model where old uniforms are upcycled into new high quality yarns and fabrics using a process that uses no water, no dyes, and no harsh chemicals.
  • LOW IMPACT FABRICS: We’ve increased the amount of high-quality recycled and natural materials available to our clients.
  • DURABILITY: During the design and production processes, we’re creating garments that are made better to last longer. We’ll also provide our clients with thorough care guide to increase the lifespan of their uniforms in order to reduce textile waste.
